Nice book， almost as much an art book as one about building with LEGO bricks。 The little cities have an amazing level of detail for being so constrained in size， and this book does a good job on explaining how a talented builder would do all that with all kinds of more or less special bricks。

This is one of a whole series of books I'm rapidly getting off my TBR list this month， that I would never really consider buying but that made for interesting reads through my neighborhood library。 It's insanely clever， showing through hundreds of detailed illustrations how to build fantastically detailed miniaturized cityscapes on a mere 20 x 20 stud base， picking through the various specialized pieces that have come with specific types of building sets over the years （hint -- there's a lot of This is one of a whole series of books I'm rapidly getting off my TBR list this month， that I would never really consider buying but that made for interesting reads through my neighborhood library。 It's insanely clever， showing through hundreds of detailed illustrations how to build fantastically detailed miniaturized cityscapes on a mere 20 x 20 stud base， picking through the various specialized pieces that have come with specific types of building sets over the years （hint -- there's a lot of Star Wars repurposing here）， resulting in tiny yet breathtakingly mind-grabbing edifices。 To describe it does it a disservice， so just check out a few photos for yourself here， here， here and here; then don't walk but run to your nearest bookstore and pick up a copy， a must-have for any parent who enjoys building with their child， but one who is aging out of simplistic constructions and is looking for something much more challenging and sophisticated。 。。。more
